Youth Ministries

Kid Zone Children’s Ministry
Ministry Leader:  Min. Beverly Couts

This ministry serves children age 3 years old - 5th Grade. The children will engage in life-changing activities that will help them to see Jesus in more than the manger at Christmas. There will be everything that children love, music, dance, drama, and hands-on activities with adult volunteers that love the kids! Children love to hangout with adults who are excited about sharing their faith with them in new and exciting ways.

Our children will learn life skills, cooking for kids, Black History, age appropriate hands-on science experiments, attend children’s conferences, children’s residential camps, fun outings and much, much more!

The Children of Christ Ministry strives to meet the needs of all Middle School Youth through age appropriate Christian Education classes, Christ-centered Bible Study, Biblically-based workshops and conferences, fun teen fellowships, and active participation in the Sunday Morning Worship Services.

Future Ministry Plans:

    • C.O.C Ministry Meeting once a month on the 4th Saturday immediately following the Youth Choir rehearsal. The meetings will consist of a variety of events geared at giving the youth hands-on life application tools to maneuver through their adolescent stage of life and to “Live It” life that is as committed Children of Christ.  The ministry will engage the youth with a variety of outings, guest speakers, service projects, and focused Middle School meeting sessions that equips them to make thoughtful decisions about their daily life. The kick off for the monthly meeting will begin the following month after the Youth Conference.
    • Student Life Camps, Conferences, and Workshops so that our youth may interact with other youth that love Jesus and are not ashamed to tell the world.
    • Church ministry opportunities to teach our youth that it is good to serve Jesus, actually that it is a privilege.
    • Teaching the youth that it is okay to praise God. Praise is what we do in response to all that God has done, is doing, and shall do for us.
